Pawtucket is a mill city, and its building stock is the reason we work there. The conversion of former textile mills into loft residential, studio and commercial space has been going on for years and it is almost entirely a metal stud framing problem before it is a drywall one.

Framing inside a mill means dealing with timber structure, uneven slabs and column grids that no partition layout was ever designed around. We lay out to laser, scribe to the existing structure where it shows, and build shaft wall assemblies where the stair and elevator cores need their fire rating.
